Miss Aimee

Preschool Instructor

My name is Aimee Davis. I am a native of Colorado, who graduated from Thornton High

school in 1990. I have taken several undergraduate courses in Early Childhood Education over the past

25 years, but I decided to finish my degree two years ago when it became necessary to continue

teaching Preschool.

Currently, I live in Colorado Springs, but this is my 12th year in Yoder teaching. I have worked in Early Childhood Education for over 25

years. Preschool is a wonderful age because their eyes are full of wonder, and they seem to absorb

everything! My very favorite thing about this age is that every day when they come into my classroom, I

feel like a rock star! They are my biggest fans and I am theirs.

I have a son and a daughter who are both married and live in Colorado. In my spare time, if I ever have

any, I enjoy watching baseball, playing guitar, singing, and spending time with my 3 wonderful

grandsons. Oh, and I love movies! I quote so many movies in my everyday life some might think I’m

crazy. Especially, since most of them are kid movies. All-time favorite? “The Emperor’s New Groove” for

sure! I like to read the Bible, but I also enjoy reading books written by Lysa Terkeurst, and

Francine Rivers. I can only count on one hand how many times I’ve left Colorado, and I’ve never been

outside the USA. I hope to change that someday
